Matthew Broderick plays Sam Nash, Jesse Kiplinger and Roy Hubley opposite Sarah Jessica Parker’s Karen Nash, Muriel Tate, and Norma Hubley. The characters, who arrive over three acts, are a long-married couple Karen and Sam, a pair of former high school sweethearts Muriel and Jesse, plus the mother and father of a bride, Norma and Roy. It’s clever stuff. Broderick has won two Tony Awards for his Broadway roles and made his West End debut in 2019 when he starred in The Starry Messenger at Wyndham’s Theatre. Parker is herself a two-time Emmy winner. It’s a classic, and it’s done beautifully.
