Savoy Theatre location

On the Strand itself, the Savoy Theatre shares the immediate area with the Vaudeville theatre, Lyceum theatre and Adelphi theatre. Its amazingly central location means there are excellent public transport links as well as plenty of great places to eat and drink before and after the performance.

By tube

  • The nearest tube stations to are Charing Cross (for the Bakerloo and Northern Lines) and Temple (for the Circle and District lines)
  • 5 minutes from Charing Cross: From the station, head right and down the Strand. The Savoy is on your right next to the Savoy hotel
  • 8 minutes from Temple: Head across the Victoria Embankment towards Charing Cross and then right up Savoy Street. Turn left onto the Strand and the theatre is on your left

By bus

  • Buses to Aldwych and the Strand: 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 23, 68, 91, 171, 176, 188, RV1

By car

The Savoy theatre is inside the city Congestion Charge Zone, weekdays from 7am until 6pm but not bank holidays. Driving in the zone during those times costs £10 a day.

Like most West End theatres, The Savoy belongs to the Q-Park Scheme. The nearest Q Park is the 24hr Chinatown car park at 20 Newport Place, WC2H 7PR. It costs £18 for up to 3hrs and £24 for 4hrs, but theatregoers can save 50% with a validated parking ticket, which you get validated at the theatre itself.
