Gary Barlow has so many faces. He’s an exceptional songwriter. He has a gorgeous voice. He has produced shows on stage and on screen. He produces hit records for other artists. Back in the 1990s he helped take the boy band Take That to heights no boy band had reached before, creating an international pop music sensation. He is the winner of eight BRIT Awards. He has sold over 45 million records. And he has co-written and produced tunes for Dame Shirley Bassey, Sir Elton John, Robbie Williams and many more.
Recently Barlow has turned his creative focus onto the stage. He’s written the score for Finding Neverland. He worked with long-term collaborative partner Tim Firth on Calendar Girls The Musical. He partnered with Tim again to create The Band, the record-breaking jukebox musical that’s currently being made into a movie. Now he’s in the West End with his one-man autobiographical show, a tear-jerker that’s also full of joy and positivity. What a man, what a star, what a show. It has already thrilled audiences across the UK and it’s due to land in London after its run in Edinburgh ends. We can’t wait!
